Hand luggage is a small suitcase or bag on EVA Air airplane, which the passenger takes into the cabin and places either in special niches above his head or in front of the front seat.

The dimensions of hand luggage are set individually by each airline. At several airports serving Finnair flights, there are some kind of global limits that allow passengers to independently determine the compliance of hand luggage with established standards.

Additional Baggage: Add excess baggage to your booking with EVA Air

Many times, passengers complain that they cannot bring all the items they need in their luggage during their stay, because their baggage allowance is limited. For these passengers, there is a practical solution: the purchase of excess baggage.

Items and objects prohibited in cabin baggage

It is strictly forbidden to carry in hand baggage anything that is not permitted in checked baggage, plus:

– Needles for injection (an exception can be made if there are medical indications and relevant documents);

– Knitting needles, sharp manicure accessories (material not specified)

– Corkscrews, forks, scissors, knives of any length and degree of safety (even children’s scissors with blunt tips are removed);

– Aerosol cans with all sprays;

– Liquids in containers larger than 100ml;

– The last point is worth mentioning separately. The liquid in this case is not only water and drinks, but also jam, cottage cheese, butter, honey and even canned food! So, if you want to take any of the liquids into the salon, you should pack it in containers up to 100 ml and pack it in a separate transparent bag, and the total volume should not exceed 1 liter.
