Founded in 1934, the national airline of Mexico, Aeromexico is one of the oldest airlines in the world. It now serves many cities throughout the United States, but also in Europe and Asia.

To comply with international air transport regulations, Aeromexico has also issued its own regulations, which define the excess not to be exceeded for hand luggage and hold luggage. Cabin baggage:

In the cabin, Aeromexico passengers are authorized to carry one item of baggage, the weight of which varies according to the class booked:

  • In Tourist class: up to two pieces of baggage allowed with a maximum weight of 10 kilos for both, and dimensions not exceeding 115 cm (height, width and length).
  • In first class: one authorized piece of luggage of 18 kg, and dimensions not exceeding 115 cm (height, width and length).

In addition to a personal accessory such as a handbag, wallet, computer or camera…of a maximum of 3 Kg.

 

Checked baggage:

In the hold, Aeromexico passengers are authorized to carry one item of baggage, the weight of which varies according to the class reserved:

  • In Basic class: no baggage is included in the fare.
  • In Tourist class: one piece of baggage allowed with a maximum weight of 23 kilos, and dimensions not exceeding 158 cm (height, width and length).
  • In first class: two pieces of luggage allowed of 32 kg, and dimensions not exceeding 158 cm (height, width and length).

 

Children’s luggage:

Children from 2 years old are entitled to the same baggage allowance as adult passengers.

Babies are entitled to 1 piece of 23 kg as checked baggage, plus two items from among: Stroller, Pram, changing bag, cradle, etc.

 

Sports equipment:

Aeromexico allows the transport of the following sporting goods:

Bicycle, Windsurfing Equipment, Surfing Equipment, Scuba Diving Equipment, Hunting Equipment, Fishing Equipment, Golf Bag, Skiing Equipment, Polo Equipment, Ice Hockey Equipment, Water Skiing Equipment, Hang Gliding Equipment, Boggie Board Equipment, Bowling Equipment, KneeBoard, Parachute, SnowBoard, WakeBoard, Fencing Sword, Horse Riding Equipment.

  • The maximum weight allowed per bag is 32 kilos / 70 lbs (for all planes and all routes).
  • The maximum length allowed per piece is 204 centimeters / 80 inches in narrow cab and 294 centimeters / 115 inches in wide cab (maximum length including case).

A tennis racket bag can be carried as checked baggage at no additional cost and without replacing any baggage.

Coolers are considered an additional piece of sports. Only rigid plastic coolers will be accepted (polystyrene coolers are not accepted).

 

Items prohibited at Aeromexico:

– Enamel paints
– Acids and corrosive substances such as chlorine, mercury and solvents
– Wet batteries and fire extinguishers
– Flammable materials
– Medium and large size lithium / lithium ion batteries, rechargeable or not
– Electric wheelchairs with liquid batteries
– On departure from China, do not carry electric or gas lighters in checked or hand luggage.
– Flares, explosives, grenades, detonators and military articles.
– Smoke producing devices (smoke bombs) Fireworks and any other type of gunpowder or explosive material.
– Wet cell batteries for motorized wheelchairs.

Items prohibited in the cabin:

– Electric pulse guns Cut and weld gases and devices.
– Dry cell batteries for motorized wheelchairs
– golf clubs, hockey sticks, swimming pool clubs, baseball and softball bats and other similar high intensity discharge objects
– Mercury barometer and industrial thermometer
– Medical oxygen cylinders weighing less than 11 lbs (5 kg.) and less than 40 PSI, with a medical description and only as checked baggage
– Handguns, revolvers, pistols, weapons, ammunition, cartridges and air pistols
– Flare guns, childcare items and/or martial arts items Icons, ice picks, wine corks and cattle prods
– Modeling guns or realistic replicas
– Weapons, crossbows and arrows Axes, knives, pocket knives, letter openers, scissors, scissors, box cutter, scalpels, needles, and eyelashes with sharp points and blades
– Nail clippers and razor blades
– Drills, saws, hammers, and other power tools

Transport of liquids at Aeromexico:

Liquids, gels and aerosols for cosmetic and hygiene use must be contained in individual containers not exceeding 1 L, placed in a 20cm by 20cm resealable plastic bag.
